I believe that every person has the capacity for healing, and my work is to help you reconnect with that strength. My personal experiences with cycles of chronic stress, pain and burnout challenged me to look deeper than traditional talk therapy for hopes of finding rest and balance. I realized that true wellness requires more than just addressing symptoms—we need a holistic approach that nurtures the interconnectedness of our brain, body, spirit, and community.

Traditional talk therapy within our current mental health system often focuses on diagnosing and “fixing” our symptoms, as if we are broken. My approach is focused on addressing the root causes of chronic stress, trauma, and burnout through neuroscience-based therapies and meaningful connection. I see our struggles as natural responses of our brains and bodies to protect us in the difficult systems we live in daily. This holistic approach empowers you to create balance, rest, and long-term wellness in your life.

Background

My work began in court-ordered community mental health, working with people struggling with addiction and domestic violence challenges. Over the years, I noticed some common threads with my therapy participants: childhood trauma, systemic oppression, and chronic stress.

I realized that the industrial medical model of mental health was seriously lacking in its ability to support people in need, and I began a search for a deeper, rooted understanding of our mental health struggles. This brought me to my holistic model of therapy that integrates brain-body therapy and community-focused care into other traditional therapy approaches.
