The No Surprises Act is a federal law that went into effect on January 1, 2022. It is designed to protect you from unexpected medical bills, particularly in situations where you might not have control over who provides your care.
 
Good Faith Estimates
As part of this law, I am required to provide you with a Good Faith Estimate for the cost of services you receive. This estimate helps you understand and plan for the financial investment in your care.
 
You have the right to:
- Receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for any services offered.
- Request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling a service or at any time during your care.
- Dispute a bill if it is significantly higher than the provided estimate.
 
Your Protections
- You are protected from receiving unexpected charges beyond what is outlined in your Good Faith Estimate.
- You have the right to request clarification or support if there is a discrepancy in billing.
 
What Does This Mean for My Practice?
Since I do not bill insurance directly, the Good Faith Estimate you receive outlines the potential full cost of services. I offer a sliding scale pricing model, and any agreed-upon adjustments to pricing after beginning therapy will be reflected in a new Good Faith Estimate.
